Hello all Can anyone in St. Louis give any info on: WLJ Enterprises 6467 Plateau Ave St.Louis MO 63139 phone 314-645-1098 This company or person has several auctions going on ebay for various 223 bullet heads. I bid and won an auction for 1000 SS109's. I sent payment and after several weeks I received a box containing 1000 X193's. There was a receipt in the box but it was someone else's. I contacted WLJ by email and they said they would ship mine out on Monday 1-03-2005. Well I never got my bullet heads and cannot get them to respond to my emails or phone calls. I checked there feedback since I left my NEG and now there is 2 more people that have left Neg feedback with the same problem. I uesd MapQuest to locate the address. It looks like it maybe a home address in a neighborhood I contacted the Police today, they told me I will have to call back on Monday to talk to a dectective |

I have a friend who lived in that neighborhood. It's in Dogtown near the K-Mart on Manchester. It's residential with some retail and industrial close by. I checked a satellite photo and it looks residential. I'll try and do a drive by, though with my work schedule, I'm not quite sure when that will be. Photo I checked on my address and found it off by 50-60 yards, but when I recentered the map, I could make out both of my cars easily. Don't know if there is any affilation with this reputable outfit. I have dealt Hi-Tech and it's within walking distance of my house! Hi Tech Ammo I need more tracers if anyone wants to split 500 or split half red and half orange. |

Thanks for the link. They seem to have great prices. I will have to get back with you about the tracers. Have you seen there #1 pulled tracers. The M193's that came to me were machine pulled and they had large pull marks on them. I've always used "never loaded" bullet heads. Cost is a little more but well worth it to me. I wonder what #1 hand pulled look like

I bought some of the pulled red tracers and they had marks on them in 3 places. When you load them, the marks are below the case necks but they "light up" just fine. I have also bought some of their pulled 62 gr. and 55 gr. bullets and it was pretty much the same deal. They run the bullets through a sizer and bring them back into spec. I bought them to load into ammo for storage just in case ammo really does end up becoming the "pocket change" of the world to come. |

UPDATE I just got off the phone with AT&T operator. The phone # 314-650-7240 is a cell phone. It has given me a busy signal all day. She stated that she could not break into a cell phone's line. The other phone # 314-645-1098 still rings and rings with no answer |
| The pulled ammo does fine for me. I am more of a plinker though. the 109's punch nice round holes in steel plate. The tracers were pulled too. My Bushy processes pulled ammo just fine. My buddy has an Armalite that's really picky about ammo and it sometime dents the nose. Usually it jams and you know it. Last time we shot his, one of the tracers took a 10 degree turn! Love to see those tracers fly across my 500 yard long field at night hit the ground then ricochet back in the air! |

Today I talk to a detective in the St.Louis police dept. with the fraud division. Detective Baine is his name. We discussed the details about the auction on ebay. He was able to pull up a lot of info while we were talking on the phone. It seems that the address that I sent the Postal Money Order to is the Home of Wendy Johnson, 6467 Plateau Ave. Det. Baine was going to do a little check on her to see if she has the proper licences for running a business out of her home. He told me that he was going to pay her a visit and find out what was going on. He also stated that he would call me back as soon as he got back from seeing her. So.....now I wait I'll let you know what happens |

I talked to the detective today by phone and he has not been able to contact Wendy Johnson so far. He stated that he has driven over there twice and nobody at home both times. He will try again tonight after 5:00 pm. He said he contacted the ATF and checked on the proper licences, and all is ok. He also stated that there was an arson fire at that address last year it hasn't been solved yet. I will call him again tomorrow.  |
