I am in need of some assistance from someone with strong search-fu on ARF. After the real story about CavArms came to light I am really pissed at them. What really got me is that I was personally misled by them when I asked about the charges against them. When I was in EP training in VA shortly after I bought the stock, I met a former NYPD / Marine who relocated to AZ and knew some interesting details about the arrests and confiscations. When I got back to NJ I called Ed and he suggested I call them, which was when smoke was blown up my pooper. I no longer want the Alan Gura Stock that I bought during the auction to fund their legal aid campaign. I was able to find this partial link on Google and hope someone can help me expand upon it.
Here is why, after a bunch of us pissed and moaned about being duped by CA, they made some half hearted effort to reimburse some of the people who felt duped like myself. Well, CA wants my original receipt for the purchase, which I cannot find because it was a money order and I did not file it like a firearms purchase or keep it as part of my bank records. I am really anal with record keeping and am pissed at myself for Ed Sr can validate my purchase, but can't remember the amount and said he will try to check his records. The seller recalls the purchase, but never got the actual check. So, I am going to see if I can produce this post in its entirety to see if it is enough to meet his needs to buy back the stock. Funny that someone who got his ass jammed up selling 40+ firearms illegally, is going to bust my balls about having a copy of my MO receipt. Karma is a bitch and I hope he gets everything coming to him, meaning jail time. So who ever can assist me in this search, the first round of beer is on me. I thought it was only for the stock, now that I have a full set, I'm going have to start saving for a vintage, well worn lower, upper and barrel to compliment this piece of history. Plus my CavAid MkII lower #083, I hoped that I have helped in a small way. Good Luck Gary and keep strong. |

Thanks mak0.
I tried punching in it and added page 14 as well. Now let's see how honorable CA is. They made the offer to buy it back and then when it came time to do the deal, he keeps complicating things. I told him I wanted to do it (while holding my nose) with PayPal. At least there is a control mechanism in place for both parties. Now he says he will cut a check once he gets it. With their credibility in question, I am going to need to get something in writing before I ship out the furniture...that is if he lives up to his word and takes it back. Thanks again. |
