http://www.tvrail.com/ There's several different options to book. One I want to go on is the Etowah-Copperhill run that goes where's there's very few (if any) roads thru the mountains. Another option is the Etowah-Chattanooga run. They've also added a "dome" car to their line so one can have almost a 360deg view of the scenery. So leave Gatlinburg to the tourists & also leave the traffic woes behind as well. Lots of bed-n-breakfasts in the area to choose from as well as cabins & such. There's a decent gun shop in Benton on Hwy 411 & a nice public gun range about 5-6 miles north of the gun shop, also just off of Hwy 411. Driving time from Nashville to Benton is roughly only 3 hrs, so a Fri night drive is easily done. We now return you to your regularly scheduled programming..................

| I've actually done the Hiwassee River Rail Adventure from Etowah with that outfit. Totally worth the drive. Very scenic and peaceful. At one point they did have to stop the train to clear some brush from the track with power saws, but it wasn't a long delay. Took lots of pictures and a few videos. |
