| So I have been working a new job for a few weeks now in Sparta and recently moved to West Salem. I've really never been to this area of the state much before so I have no idea what is out there range and gunshop wise. I have done a google search and have some ideas but I'd like to get some opinions on ranges and gunshops in the greater La Crosse/Sparta area. |

Both Sparta and West Salem have nice 100 yard ranges. Holmen has a 200 yard range but that's a but further to drive. WI57 will be along shortly to fill you in I'm sure.
La Crosse has a rifle club with a beautiful 600 yard range but you better sign up now if you want to be a member in the next 10 years. As far as gun shops, Wiebke fur trade and guns in La Crosse will be able to provide you with most everything you need. Also Holmen pawn has some good deals from time to time. There is also Monsuers in La Crosse, but they always have a know it all attitude and mostly deal shotguns. I'm not a real big fan of them. Lastly the Ace hardwear on La Crosse south side sells guns and durring the Obama scare was often the only store with inventory. I'm sure you know there is a Gander in La Crosse as well.
