| Anyone here involved in the parole process? My former bil is up for parole and if he gets it, I'm trying to find out if there's a way to get him paroled to a different county then the one he was convicted in. His family is 2 hours away and there's nothing here for him except his victim. Can we get the parole board to send him downstate to keep him away? |

A person can be assigned to a parole agent where he/she is living. Not where the crime was commited. Same for Circuit Court probation. It can be transferred to the County where the bad guy resides.
They wont send him anywhere for parole. Its where he lives. He should have a condition of parole that he stays away from the victim. If he's that big of a problem, the victim should have already put a PPO in place. Mind you, they are pieces of paper which don't stop bullets. But it gets most people attention. |
