If a person was to post an ad on another local board that was factually um lacking and be politely nudged toward correcting said ad, should that person then post an ad on the EE with the same inaccuracies under the same screen name?

Is this person a slime or a tard?

Guess it's just me, several folks have tried to help this guy out but he is not getting it.

Basically what we tried to get across is that a kit gun  on a LRB lower ought not be advertised as a Colt.

Some people will not get it when told.   When the gun does not sell and he is bumping for eternity he may finally come to the realization that something is wrong.

Looks like he might he the one on here locked. He didn't wait 72 hours to bump it.

Are colt uppers even marked? I agree that the ar15.com as is intentionally misleading.

Going by the pinned on comp, from his post a week or so ago for just the upper, it's likley a Colt bbl at least.

What if you drove across town to get this deal?

judging by the markings on the upper, it does appear to be a colt upper.
I am the one (NWSharpshooter) who pointed out that it was a parts gun and not a colt.  I also had a discussion with him about a week prior as he had questions for me in reference to the preban colt I have listed.
I honestly think the guy just does not know that much about it.  He asked me a lot of questions, and was very polite and honest, and just came across as somebody who doesn't really know that much about what he has.

That was actually the reasoning I had when I brought it up that it was a parts gun.  My guess, is he bought it from either a dishonest gun shop, or more likely a dishonest private seller, who told him that it was in fact a colt.

It's funny that the barrel, barrel ext, upper, bcg are all colt, (basically everything that really matters) and yet it still is not a colt.
What's the quickest way to cut the value of a colt upper in half?  Put it on a non colt lower.

He would probably have better luck selling them separate if the barrel wasn't post ban config.

I feel bad for the guy.

I agree its misleading.  But you can easily see from two of his photos that its no Colt lower.
