Lost my job in December. I've been lurking on this site for almost 8 years now. I live in the Houston (Galleria area). I've been filling out applications like crazy and talking to recruiters but nothing ever comes out of it. Does anyone know of any jobs available I do have a resume on standby and also on LinkedIn. Able to relocate anywhere.
Anyone who gets me an interview will get a free PMAG. |

When I click that, it just takes me to the home page of ARF |
| I do not know what your looking for but, Texas Department of Criminal Justice is all ways hiring. For prison guards and parole officers. Pay is ok not great, but it beats no dollars. Some prison units have sign on bonuses. I've been with TDCJ 14 years good benefits and insurance is free to employees. |

If you don't post what type of job or the general field you are interested in, you will not get many leads. What previous jobs have you held? Mainly oil & gas However, I would like to get into a new field where my skills/education transfers over. It's easier to just to send my resume. Therefore, people can get an idea of my capabilities. |

Not sure what segment of o&g you're in specifically, but have you thought about looking for plant jobs? If you haven't, build a profile on indeed.com and start looking for process tech/OP jobs. I'm in the offshore segment right now (safety and medical) and every day that we still have a job is a welcome blessing, but I am actively looking to make the jump to something more stable myself |

Not G&O, but chemical. The company I work for has a few openings that may be a fit. Good luck in your search.

I worked as the operations manager of a fabrication facility for 25 years. 2 days after I got back from vacation in October, I got laid off. I'm in the same boat as you. I've been filling out applications, and talking to people, but so far nothing has come of it.
Since we built control cabins for diving companies, I know a lot about welding, coatings, electrical, pretty much anything to do with construction. I can also do purchasing. If anyone knows of anything, please let me know. |
