[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Need some help.

So I currently live down in N.C. however, seeing as how I will be moving back up to N.Y. state soon, I am wondering what type of AR-15 rifle should I buy and from where? Also how do I get a rifle that meets all of these ban requirements. I love the M-16 feel of the AR's so any help would be appreciated. Not sure if this is in the right spot (1st time poster).

Get yourself a pre ban for now while they are cheap in NC, if you can live in VT or PA and still be commutable then do that. Our new Senate will be passing AWB II sometime in the future and peopel will be flocking to CA for their lax gun laws.

get a good one, bushmaster or colt, they are available down there although now is not a good time to look.

So, I just walk into the store and say that I would Like to buy a Pre-Ban Bushmaster or Colt AR-15. Plus I have been looking around this site and I have already found a plethra of items that I would also like to get in order to "pimp out" my rifle.

By pre ban he means one manufactured before sept 1994.

So, this brings up another question - Can I just go into a store and attempt to buy a pre-ban weapon or would I have to look on line. these are the things that I'm not sure about.
