Congrats! ![]() Lack of sleep yes but all of a sudden they grow up so fast and you miss it! Like when your 6 year old turning 7 doesn't want the princess birthday party or a bunch of other choices but rather the "Diva Spa Party" at an actual spa with 8 other 6/7 year olds to the tune of a lot. |

Congrats!
You might as well spend the tax deduction money on the upper now. Placenta sandwiches are for mammals of the female variety. Helps with depression and replaces missing vitamins and nutrients not retained during pregnancy. Most prefer them dried and made into pills but there are a few stories about placenta smoothies... You may now proceed with lunch :) |

My 11 yo. daughter wants to do laser tag for her birthday. I guess that's good? Or not? My 8 yo. son doesn't mention laser tag but does ocassionally mention wanting to shoot a "real gun". I guess that is good. |

I think there is a tactical place in the area too. |

My son did that one a party or two ago. They trade off every other year on invite a number of friends big party vs smaller family party or I would go broke each spring with them close to each other!! Of course, this year though it is her "big party" year, he was 12 and "needed" a cell phone. What BS. "All the other kids have them". Dad: "No they don't". Mom: "I think they do". Dad checks. Sure as shit, they do all have cell phones. WTF. What he really needs is a job. Too bad they don't really have paper routes any more like when I was a kid -- I rode miles each day... up hill in the snow storm... blah blah blah All good on the lasertag and guns!! Your 8yo needs his "own" "real gun". Might be old enough to visit RN assuming you skip the duties of being extremely generous sharing your toys the whole time!! |

Find a farmer and get him a job milking cows or staking hay this summer. He will not only make enough to cover that phone bill but pick up a real work ethic for his trouble as well. Plus he will be the strongest kid in school come fall. By the time fall came around I was ready to go back to school. That was until I got a little older and could pick my summer job so I lifeguarded at the city pool. |
