The Security Store I don't have the address but this store is on TV Hwy just West of Brookwood Ave in Hillsboro. They are a security item store (cameras, etc) who just started selling firearms. They look to have a pretty good selection, but I haven't had the time to actually shop there yet and check out their prices. I did ask about safes, however, and they have several used Sentry safes (24 and 26 gun I think) for $600-$800. They were used to store his firearms while they built out the new secure gun room in their store. Nice to have another option out Hillsboro way. |
The store is located next to Baner furniture on tv hwy just before Rick's fencing company. Prices are high as expected from a small gunstore and the two guys working there need a little more gun knowledge. They have a selection of Glock's and XD's and one guy told me the XDm isn't available yet and they have those cheap RIA 1911 and he didn't know it was made in the Phillipine.

I stopped in today. Yeah on the knowledge thing. the guy told me he had an M249 SAW.... custom built on a 1919 receiver. Maybe he was being funny and I didn't get it. Dude... I work in Iraq, that isn't a SAW.Pretty good selection of black rifles. Not sure on all of the prices. A lot of century imported AKs, etc. They have a shit load of sig 225 German police trade-ins. G/VG condition pistols for $299. I thought about picking one up just to have one. Also, they have Galils for 849.00 which I think is a pretty good price. They have a metric ton of police trade in 182-series Mini-14s if you are into that kind of thing. |
Perfect. Exactly what i was hoping for. This place is pretty close to where i live so I'll stop in sometime this week and report back on what i find as well. |

Stopped in this morning. GREAT looking gunroom. You can tell they are still setting things up but they have tons of rifles and a few glass counters with pistols. Not a huge selection of pistols (some XD's, glocks, and the previously mentioned sigs for 299) but the rifles are where its at. Lots of century AKs, but the guy seemed confused as to exactly what each one was, and i dont know enough about them to identify em, but there were lots. All the firearms had hanging tags but most were not yet marked with price and type. Lots of scopes and tapco accessories. No HK or trijicon stuff yet, he said they have been waiting several weeks for that stuff to show up. They had more MP5 clones than i've ever seen in one place and even had some CETMEs and FALS. The CETMEs had HESSE receivers and the guy said the price was 599, but would sell me one for 499. I want a CETME but know enough to stay away from the HESSE ones. They even had a barret for 8400. LOTS of used AR and AK mags. Like literally barrels full of em. The guy working the counter was eager and talkative and seemed like a nice guy. I'll definitely be back. They are having a "grand opening" type thing in september with a BBQ. I can see this place becoming very busy in the future, if they keep up their stock, nice attitude and decent prices. |
| i went in today. they had lots of dpms sporticals, one or two RRAs and a colt or two for ARs. lots of sks and ak's, more hk clones and hks then you can shake a stick at. owner reminds me of a tweaker tho, he is really looks really russian (thats not a racist term, im just saying thats what he looks like) and kept opening the the cylinder on a revolver and then fliping it closed gangster style, and pulling uzis off the wall and racking the slide a bunch of times trying to look really cool. really turned me off. but they have a nice selection. go to buy, not for information. |
Ehhhh..... WRONG, I called them and they are not a class 3 dealer. No way do they have full auto ones on the shelves... Unless they are all on form 4s, in which case that is a lot of money just sitting on the shelves, they are not machine guns. I may go check this place out today, just for the fun of it. |
Yah the guy doesnt know all that much but he still talks anyway. But hes a nice enough guy and doesnt seem to try to mislead in a malicious way. More ignorant than anything. Definitely do your homework at home then go shop there.
They dont have any of the newer bolt actions. In fact i dont think i saw a single bolt action rifle there. The guy said they wanted to go a different rout than all the other shops in the area, focusing on our favorite autoloaders and other stuff we usually have to order online. BTW, anyone bother to ask if they do transfers and for how much? I forgot when i was in there. |
I went there this morning, they are marked as such, but not F/A....they are all Vector clones. BTW/ take what he says with a grain of salt. He told me most of the guns in there will be banned soon, so I should buy them now. Uhhhhhh, what? You mean that Sig 556 plan jane vanilla gun for 1950 will be banned, dang I better buy it then and get ripped off for about 500 bucks. Thanks!!!! LOL |
You should just buy two and make it an even grand |
|
ehhh give them a heart guys.. thats 1919 with the m249 furniture is being made. It does make it look interesting. It's a semi auto 1919 with m249 furniture including rails for VPG. It's interesting but unwieldly. Otherwise.....pass. I was thinking of one of those Sigs....but pass....I'm getting a walther p1. |
So if your a dealer here don't you need to pay for advertising? Didn't see you listed as a dealer. IBTL NoHair |
Not once did I advertise any products or my business, I simply said IM me and I will quote you a bottom dollar price and print it out for you so you can take it to the security store. As far as I can tell, even one with no hair could do the same....YES? Or do you also need to pay for advertising? |
and they have those cheap RIA 1911 and he didn't know it was made in the Phillipine.
Maybe he was being funny and I didn't get it. Dude... I work in Iraq, that isn't a SAW.
