Weather forecast for next weekend is 60 DEGREES!  Not kidding.
WE ALL KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS.
Its especially good news for me as I have a wierd inherited muscle condition. Low cholinesterase. In other words my muscles freeze up tight in the cool weather. SOOOOOOOO.
Im off to the big ass quarry with a ton of ammo.
Screw this winter!!! ITS OVER!!! YYYEEEEEAAAAHHHHH!

This is crystal clear to me! 30 hits on this subject 2 respond. No one had a good time at the last shoot, or what ! Name the time and the place and I will be there, no doubt.

everyone up north must be shut ins.  it'd be cool to get something going up here (superior area) but everyone seems to be from fox valley and lower.  oh well.

Can't say when I'll be free enough. I have a 8 month old at home that is my #1 priority.

Let me know, and I'll try to get there if it's close enough.

I have a couple of thoughts.  One is it would be nice to have Quarterly "official" ARFCom shoots.  Frozen Nuts was the Winter one, maybe we could have one in April, July and October.  Also we could change up the locations, etc, for each to be accessible to various members in different parts of the state.

The other is that if we use the Yellowstone Lake range again we take up a collection, say five bucks a head, to donate to the local gun club that has adopted the range.  I was back at that range not too long after the Frozen Nuts shoot and the target panels at the 25 yd range (plywood) were pretty much shot out and replaced by cardboard.  Given all the bump firing that was going on there I think I know how that happened!

In any case I'd be up for another shoot sometime soon in southern or central Wisconsin.  I'd really dig one near Prarie du Chien as I want to stop by the Cabellas there !!

i like DarkNite's idea about the collection of $5 a head to help out the locla range that we ues(we were a little hard on the back stops Quarterly shoots would be a good idea.
this weekend is not good for me i went the the e.r. teusday night buece i broke a hole in my tooth and has gotten a major infection and with taking perocets for the pain im not going to be handling any weapons.
what does every one eles think?
thanks

Tapperman tells me there's a donation box at the head of the drive at Yellowstone Lake range.  Makes donating easy!

I'm heading out to Yellowstone on Saturday most likely to zero a couple of optics.  Can't say when I'll be there, though.

Where in SE WI can a guy zero in a new Bushy without joining a club?  The weather will be fabulous. Got 500 rds of soft nose for the AR and another 500 for the Ruger PC-9 carbine.

Where, when? Sunday might be hazy.

Turboman,

Pumpkin Center on Hwy "I" (SE of Beaver Dam, north of Lowell) has a range that only requires a donation at the entrance. Kinda primative...tables at 50 and 100 yds. Usually, the target fence is shot up pretty bad, but every no and then, the timing is right and the fence has just been replaced.
No shooting shelters to shoot from, but close by and cheap.

LOL!!

Dude, this cracks me the hell up!  How many guys actually shot at the 100yard range?  Maybe 1 out of every 3 that showed up?  And I don't think I saw anyone checking or changing targets at the 25 yard COUGHpistol range.  It's no wonder those boards were sawdust after that day!

I vote that the next time we go to Yellowstone, we set up at the 200 yard benches and then move up to the 100 (or closer) periodically to give guys a chance to shoot at closer ranges.

I'm all for setting up shoots in different areas of the state.  I know there were a few guys up North who wanted to make it but didn't want to drive so far to freeze half to death.  Especially since nobody realized how good the whole setup would be. (thanks again Tattoo, it was awesome!)

Things are a little wet right now, but it'll be getting warmer very soon.  Lets try to organize something cool, maybe some simple competitions/games etc...

BTW, anybody else shooting IDPA this year?

Guys, here's a thought...

The Illinois guys are having another shoot at Buffalo on the 6th of April

www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=8&f=23&t=167926

Maybe a 'same date, same place' sort of thing (like September)...

Unfortunately I missed the winter shoot, but I'll make the next one...

P.S. I second the 'Screw Winter' comment... Motorcycle out, weather warm, life is good...

I have a semi-private range...A gravel quarry...drop a couple of bucks at the farmers house and shoot all day.
Usually go on Friday mornings. Weekends it's a little busy.

This is in Rock County near Janesville, WI

e-mail me at [email protected] to arrange a meet.
