The lighting choices drove a lot of my decisions.

I wanted a white light bright enough to do "damage" but also could be dimmed down to save night vision. I have a few Fenix lights and they're very good quality. The TK-22 puts out 650 lumens on high and just 7 lumens on low and has a strobe mode for fun. The little Surefire M1 IR illuminator puts out 10 mw worth of IR light in a nice tight beam and is plenty bright enough out to some pretty good distances. I bought the Streamlight Sidewinder to mount to the helmet to allow me to navigate without pointing the rifle around. Last I added a LaserMax 0.7 mw IR laser to the starboard side, I wanted more power but that's the limit. I have an IR Ultra Fire WF-501B handheld light for task work.

So I'm still looking for a new trigger and a sling.

Sling - Viking/Larue tactical

You can get a front sling swivel that mounts to the port side of your quad rail.  The ACE Skeleton has a threaded hole just aft of the receiver for the rear swivel.

Trigger - Geiselle in the flavor of your choice.  I like the high speed match but it's totally up to you.

Thanks for the breakdown. Looks like good value all around.

I like the RRA two stage and have them on both AR15s and AR10s. It's nice to have the same trigger on different rifles.

Don't be jealous. I've always been a KISS type of guy until I gave up and went nuts last year. My carbine went from 5 pounds to 50 pretty quickly.

I think I actually bought, or tried to buy the LaRue sling back around Christmas and the order never went through.

I've been researching the Geiselle triggers.

Are ya looking for a single or two stage trigger? I have owned the Geiselle hi speed 2 stage and while it was a pretty good trigger I am more a fan of single stage set ups. I had been running the Timney triggers and they were very good. I had those in most of my rifles until I tried the wilson TTU single stage.  Pricey but well worth it. Of course there are a ton of trigger along with opinions of triggers but if you get a chance try one.

Good choices Paul.

A few here need to be reminded that when and if the "SHTF", half of it or 12 hours of it, will be in low light or darkness.

The ability to see in the dark (NVG's) or identify your target (White, bright light) is huge.

Kudo's on the set up.

I've got a crazy Timney trigger that's about 10 years old when they were just about the only choice on the market. Mines the two stage adjustable and I have the second stage set to a handful on ounces. So damn light that I have to be careful when switching from one rifle to this one. It's one my dedicated paper shooter and way too dangerous for "social" duty. Thank you for the tip, I will have a look at the Wilson TTU single stage trigger.

Don't fear the night, fear what hunts in the night!

The first night I got my night vision goggle the feeling I had was like the first day I got my driver's license, the day I got my first AR-15 - the ability to see in the dark with such resolution is a game changer. Having white and IR lights and that invisible IR laser is a real advantage if things go terribly wrong and things need to be taken care of. We all remember the events of the LA riots. During the days things were not "pleasant" but at night things nuts. After dark the thugs use their advantage of numbers and the ability to hide in the darkness to wreak terror.

And of course I carry spare batteries for the lights in the helmet counter-weight. Around the house I have two 50W solar panels to charge batteries. My big Fenix TK-75 sports eight 16500 batteries - enough to run that "little" TK22 for about a year.

I have a TTU that I'm looking to sell. Let me know if you're interested before I list it in the EE
