Ok, so talking to JAFO and PhillipPeak now to get some concrete dates/times, but thus far this is the deal..... September 20th (Thursday), 6:30 pm on the westside of Hillsboro- PhillipPeak will provide a class for concealed carry certification. After that its up to you to get the license though the local sheriff's office. Post any questions here and I'll get back to you, or if you want to come, email me with a rsvp let me know. Due to the time, food will probably be there for those coming. he $40 per person for the class. Have 7 people coming so far. Can only take 10. Hmmm... so I a giving a course on the 20th am I ?  good to know ...I am currently working 7 days a week, 12+hrs a day trying to sort out some problems at GM, but hopefully will have finished the intensive part by then, so it should work. Cost is $40, which includes NRA course materials. If anyone wants to tag along with someone taking the course, I have no problems with that, and there is no charge (unless you make too much noise  ).I need to know numbers at least a week before to order the materials - remember the NRA is close to DC, and the closer you get to DC the less efficient the workforce, so they can take three weeks just to get around to putting stuff in a box and sticking a UPS label on it, unless you pay the expedited shipping, then they get someone from further away from DC to come in and get the work done in just a few days. Also need a list of names -- I don't think that a letter to the Sheriff saying that "KillerJoe" has completed the training would work, as well as the county you live in. The name should match the driver's license (or whatever ID you will be using) -- not a formal requirement, but helps things go smoothly if the name on the letter matches the name on the ID. |
