We're better off with him not voting or introducing legislation.  I'd chip in quite a bit to pay him not to run for office.

I am a firm believer that if you want to run for a political office, that is fine, but if you are already employed as a representative, senator, mayor, police officer, or whatever... you should step down from your office while campaigning.

I don't take off time from my bench to go to Shot Show or vacation and still get paid.  I seriously doubt they have that much vacation time saved up.

If you are going to take the job, do the job.  If you want a promotion, by all means go get it - but not on a free paycheck.

Miller Law number 2,359 - If you want a public office, you actually have to do the job you were elected for.  If you want to go look for a promotion, you have to forfiet your job and re-apply if the promotion doesn't work.

If you mean the "All Kids" program (aka public aid for children),puh-leaze that's a joke. Hospitals are getting gouged since reimbursement barely covers the salary of the receptionist that receive these patients much less the doctors that will actually see them. So guess who the bill gets passed to just so hospitals don't go under?

Now you know why aspirins cost $50 a piece at a hospital.

BTW: I asked a public aid patient one time if they pay into the system to be eligible for services. Her reply: "No I don't, the rich people pay for me.."

I agree and I think this is what the OP was getting at.   He is wasting our money campaigning when he is supposed to be Representing IL.  We just happened to luck out that it's Barack who isn't doing anything because his policies are lousy.

They don't do nearly enough for the kids.

SRSLY.

My eldest son has Down syndrome, and is in pre-school.  All we hear from the school is how the school district doesn't have enough money for this or don't have enough money for that.

Illinois ranks 47th in the US for spending per student for kids in the EI program.

ETA=====>  But I sure as hell ain't voting for Obama or Hillary.

It doesn't matter who you vote for or who I vote for, the Democrats will take this state in November.

The sonofabitch commie will return to the senate as soon as he loses in November and will probably find enough idiots to vote him back in the senate the next time he runs.
