what is it? tell us how you are a benefit/servant to society? or are you a slave to the grind? i am a sys admin for the abcs systems, and an instructor for FBCB2 (army tactical system/networks). bringing the digital age to the battlefield. hiswhatevah! let's do it again |
| info-sec engineer (read firewall/IPS/DDoS monkey) for a hosting company in Dallas. I commute 60 miles to and from work everyday in shitty traffic on HWY 75. Sit in a dark room watching monitors and a projector and make sure nothing catches on fire for 8 hours. Go home, clean my rifles in anticipation that the day I get paid I will have enough to go to the range. |
|
i would defiantly like to swap job's for a week with hrt4me, ilikelegs, and ProfessorEvil. ProfessorEvil i have the prototype BFG! heno doubt you have clout with NASA. |

spinmaster / disinformation specialist. Does my job benefit society...not in the least most of the time, but have been accused of bringing it down. Slave to the grind...nope, most of the time I'm on my own, just need to finish by deadlines. How, when, where, doesn't matter most of the time. |
You'd really want to swap jobs with me for a week? It's not all it's cut out to be. Some of the animals we pick up don't want to go peacefully and fight back. And there's always lots of paperwork. |
ROFLMAO.....What kind of animals? 4 legs? 2 legs? One leg?.... |
What, no 3 legged, are you prejudice or something...
|
Yes, every once in a while we have to pick up an animal missing a limb. It's sad, really. |
sure, why not? able to get out from under the fluorescent lighting and saying "here kitty kitty CAT!" would be the shit! (for a week) |
It's always easier to shoot the dogs...yeah, lots of paperwork, but they don't fight back.
|
Yup, I've seen'em....but I've not seen one with it's tail intact like that, they usually seem to get blown off. But there is always that "Oh, s**t!" look on their faces. Looks like this one had a real nice phase to phase fire going there, huh? |
|
Did that for a few years. I get to work inside now. Engineering tech. Bitch! mcmoyer and TexasEd: Been there done that! The best I ever was was a hawk after a snake on a SF6 365KV breaker in a switch yard. I had never seen an arc hole in a four inch thick steel plate before. I do not love the smell of sulfur in the morning.

im a bartender for a large nightclub/concert venue. kickass job that pays way more than it should, plus the obvious perks of doing nothing but talking to drunken hot chicks all day and watching big name concerts for free. done it for the past seven years but, there are more important things than lots of money and hot chicks. ill be an 11B pretty soon. |

and did it break/shatter/crumble or was it rigid?
