Quoted: While i really like it, I'd worry about opsec. Like having an NRA decal on your car window. I dunno, its a bit different. An NRA decal says "I own guns, rob my house". I don't think that license plate necessarily conveys gun ownership. Besides, the typical "people" who I'd be worried about probably are not smart enough to make that connection, if you know what I mean. I doubt many of them paid much attention in HS history class to even know what the Gadsen Flag means. Maybe if it was translated in ebonics or spanish (or white trailer trash - just to remain PC), they'd be more likely to understand it.... |

Does this mean I will get to choose between the Gadsden plate and the 2nd amendment plate?
NV 2nd Amendment License Plate From what I understand, the committee process on the NV vanity plates is very political and the 2nd amendment plate never made it through. I am not holding my breath for either one at this point. At the same time, I would go for the Gadsden plate for sure if it gets approved. |

You can approve it all you want, but there is already a long line. They will only have so many specialty plates available, per law. So, a new one can't come on until an old one reaches a level below 1,000 plates being active.
Several plates are approved and waiting......might see it in a decade or more. Above is from memory, as I am too lazy to look it up right now! |

The DMV does not approve these plates. It is done by the legislature in committee (don't remember which one at the moment).
DMV only deals with plates that are approved and in use so I doubt you are going to get very far going down there. You could call or write your state representatives but like others have stated above, even if it does get approved, there is a long line of other plates ahead of it. |
