Is it like Cowboy's  stadium or something?
What does a liter normally go for?

Yeah, I get the real deal over here in Germany (I ain't complainin' !)

Munich downtown gasthofs usually charge like 6.80 Euros (9 Dollars) for one Mass (that's the big mug holding one liter, or two quarts). So 13 bucks is a bit stiff...

Oktoberfest here started this weekend und will go on for 16 days, usually 7 million visitors attend it, that's anywhere between 300.000 to 500.000 per day, depending on the day of the week. Last year they sold almost 7 million liters of beer (yes, that's 1.8 million gallons....)

We're heading out there tomorrow. I'ma get myself a nice beer buzz...

I never had trouble with the Bulle.....all sorts of fun with the Schwartze Sheriff (ZSD) though.

I sure will. These guys are nothing but trouble...

ZSD/schwarze sheriffs aren't around much anymore, most is handled by the U-Bahnwache and the Bahnschutz now. ZSD got kinda out of hand...

2122 hours, gotta dig out my Lederhosn for tomorrow. I'll take some pics for ya'll!

OK, back at work. Slightly hung over. Can't remember much after the 3rd Mass (1 liter) of beer. That O-fest stuff is stronger than the regular beer (6% for the fest).

So, since Augustiner is the best beer in Munich, we went straight to the Augustiner tent (main entrance was already closed at 5pm, but I know some of the security guys from working at the Oktoberfest back in the day).

Ordered some Brats with Sauerkraut and a prezel for me

winner winner chicken dinner for the Mrs.

weather was really nice

the SO gave me permission to post this pic of her

A friend from Chicago is flying in next week, so I guess we get to again with him and his wife. [img]http://www.ar15.com/images/smilies/icon_smile_big.gif" />

Hahaha, yeah. I did the same thing when I was twenty. Party every day! Now I'm an old worn out soldier and make it maybe twice to the O-fest in 16 days... LOL
