Jennings. Lorcin, or Raven in a $2.00 holster with no belt comes to mind.

Probably will lose his permit.

"Blanchard said Johnson had a concealed weapon and holster that fell to the floor from its place of concealment, causing the gun to fire."

From what little information the article provided that charge certainly does not seem appropriate.

This case will probably not be prosecuted.

It doesn't say he had a permit, unless I'm missing something. That may be

why they came up with the charges they did.

I think they'll have a very hard time making it stick unless there's more to the story than what's reported in the article.

I agree with that, doesn't seem to fit the definitions of that charge.

"This statute is officially titled as "improper exhibition of dangerous weapons or firearms", and the statute states that "if any person having or carrying any . . . weapon shall, in the presence of one or more (other) persons, exhibit the same in a rude, careless, angry or threatening manner, not in necessary self defense, the person so offending shall be guilty of a misdemeanor of the first degree".

I missed the careless part, although that is a very subjective word.

Did they charge the DEA agent that shot himself with the glock with

this charge?

I don't know that he was charged with anything,  but he did lose his job.

Rude is also a very subjective word... Wonder what behavior would cause them to say someone was simply rude?
