Anyone in Rapid City or the rest of the state open carry. I'm going to get my CCW but want to know about open also. Already been to the state website and from what I can gather we can open carry too. Do alot of places forbid open carry? I have been here since June but was deployed in Aug and just got back. One more question; How long does it take to get your permit? Thanks.

You should have your permit within 2-3 weeks. Never really noticed anybody that was open carrying but that doesn't mean it can be done.

open carry is ok only if it's a six gun and you're wearing a cowboy hat and boots.
