I did it last year. Quite easy. Just go to 122nd and Glisan to pick up the form. Fill it out and make an appointment. Check the website for the phone number. Then bring all the crap they tell you to to your appointment. THey will take the stuff, your prints, pics and money, then your CHL will come in the mail about a month later. www.co.multnomah.or.us/sheriff/chlunit.htm |
well, I finally got my CHL!  I had my interview on October 18th, it was issued exactly 3 weeks later and I got it in the mail on Saturday.Overall, the process was incredibly easy, even here in Multnomah County. I took the saftey course offered by the sheriff's office, made an appointment, and didn't have any problems whatsoever. I even used two out-of-state character references, and listed myself as unemployed (I was between jobs at the time). This definitely beats New Jersey, my old state of residence! |
