I lived in CO for 25 years and now I live in VA. I own property in Park County, CO.

The State statutes seem to be clear that a person must be a resident of CO to get a CCW there. There appears to be no statutory provision for out-of-state residents to get a CCW in CO.

However, the CCW application asks if you are a resident of CO, and if the answer is 'no', then the instruction is to list any property owned in CO and your reason for wanting a permit. I am presently trying to apply through Park County and they are unsure if I am eligible. They'll call me back today.

Do you know of any out-of-state people who have applied for and received a CO CCW? Thanks.

Just got the call from PCSO. Only residents of Colorado are eligible for CCW. However, they don't know why the out-of-state provision is on the application. They'll look into it.

Interesting how that shows up when the law is pretty clear.
