I'm am starting the process to get my CCW from AZ.  I requested there application through AZ DPS.  I received an email
this morning stating my application was in the mail and would take 7-10 business to arrive.  My question is a local range has a CCW course on Aug. 1. If I were to sign up for that course do I need that application in hand the day of the course, I know a certificate of course completions are giving and a copy of that needs to go with the final application before I send it in. I just wasn't sure if there was anything on the actual application itself that the instructor needs to sign off on.  I am planning on heading to said range tmw to talk with them just trying to get an idea before I headed up there

I would ask the instructor if the class that they are teaching is certified for the AZ CCW.

I have recently took the Utah CCW class, which obviously was for the Utah permit. The class itself had all the paperwork ready to be filled out, even the fingerprinting and passport photo! All I needed to do is send it off in the mail. I'm just waiting for my permit to arrive now.

That being said, let's say you do take the Utah CCW class, I am unsure if the certificate of completion would be adequate enough for the AZ CCW. Just my $.02... I am still in the process of learning all of this :)

Since they were Utah certified did the class fee include the application fee or was that separate, bc I checked online(haven't went yet) and the range I wanna go to is certified for Florida

No, the application fee is separate. The class itself was $75 and the application fee is $51 for non residents.

AZ will take a hunter safety class as their qualifier. If you took the IL hunter safety you are good  to go. I took the class when I was 8, nearly 40 years ago. I had lost the card but got a replacement a few years back as a requirement for a SD snow goose hunt. I think AZ is cheaper even if you figure in the safety course cost.

Did you go to the DNR website or call them to get a replacement of the IL hunter safety card???

I am shocked they even keep records for over 40 years.  You would think the admin staff has been cut to bare bones with all the budget reductions.

I would like to add the CCW class that I paid $75 would also fulfill the NRA basic pistol course if I were take any defensive classes later on where that class was a prerequisite.
