Hi, I'm currently in Ky and I have family in MD who I want to give a bolt action rifle to. The only ffl they sent me wanted 100 for a transwer fee. Are there any other locations anywhere in MD with a better price. I've lived in 4 states, including Northern VA in the DC Area and I've never had a transfer fee over $30. Assuming they would be willing to travel anywhere in MD to have the transfer done, is there anywhere at all with a lower price?
Also they say they require it to be sent to them from my ffl, adding another 30 fee on my end. Typically when I have something transferred to me from out of state all they need is a copy of their ID in the box with to my ffl. When I brought this up the MD store acted like I was an idiot. Is this a MD law or just a case of a gun store clerk not knowing? Thanks a lot Dustin |
