I'd like to see it where people bring up their issues with the people or conduct that cause them in the relevant thread as opposed to creating third hand remarks months after it occurs in a thread far removed from the actual problem. But that's just me. FWIW anyone that can get legitimately outraged on the internet needs to come up for air. |

You need a more flexible perspective. The people who get their fundies in a bundle the most here are those who have the least (if any) real life contact with others on the board. Context, real or perceived, has weight. In light of my age and beauty, I can say things that would get a 25 y/o guy's ass handed to him. The hazard of internet cage fighting is that tone of voice, inflection, nuance, and, of course, making faces, is lost in the written word. Many members here are very different people IRL in comparison to their screen persona. My examples would be Squirrel, GMW, DD, to name a few. Conversely, some of us, like Matt, PCR, Bisley, 161 are very much the same person in 3D as here. I'm sure I am known to be the same dip shit in person as in the cyberworld. Some here just can't take hints. We aren't a wolf pack, waiting to shred the unwary and weak. We are a gaggle of individuals, often dramatically different in our personal lives, who seek camaraderie, friendship and entertainment through arfcom. I don't call you arftards for nothing. |
