I was wondering the same thing.  I bet they are getting extra credit for protexting FOR illegal activities.

Id be pissed if I was a parent and had a kid in that school.

I work two blocks from the Capitol, It was an absolute zoo down there today with high police presence. Heard they even bussed in protestors from Ca. I hope they don't forget to go home too.
Yeah, you'd think the children would be in school. I saw the "We're Human" signs down there. No one said they weren't human, they're just here illegally...how hard is that to understand? Ohh the drama.
The Gov said she wasn't going to do anything with it today. I've been guessing all week that she'll sign it late on Friday. She could've nipped all of this protesting in the bud by signing or vetoing it earlier though.

Some of the protesters were carrying mexican flags and chanting "viva la mexico" during their march. Hopefully they don't get violent if the bill is signed.

If they do, I doubt it will be for long. LEO's were glassing from rooftops.

Maybe we should all hold a protest and wave signs that say "Go Jan Go" or "The US Doesn't Want You and Mexico Hates You, Jose". I'll go make mine right now . . . .

And as for the potential violence ––––––––––––

thus the reason she will sign the bill or at least let it become law.  i am pretty sure she wants to be re-elected, so she will sign it.  just like sheriff joe will be sheriff again if he runs.  you get people like we saw today and then you have the majority who favors the law because the gov won't act.  this law will be emulated by others states since the feds won't do anything about the problem.

Funny if you through all the slideshows on the AZ Repugnant, not ONE mexican flag.  One spanish sign snuck in in the background....  Wonder why they would hide that stuff?

I sure hope you are right . I am hispanic and I support this bill and so do all but one of the hispanic guys at my shop.  This is fucking outrageous.

These people are basically protesting on a pretense that every police officer in this state is a racist and will be pulling over brown people for no reason.  It really makes me sick to see our kids being brainwashed with this crap .

I think if Jan has the balls to sign this I might be willing to vote for her.  Somebody has to stand up to this fucking invasion of America.

I'm no where near the Right, but you've got to elect who you think will get the job done and just hope they don't F up everything else before you can kick them out. And I just don't understand why people don't get that

Driving while brown = not probable cause to think a person is illegal.

Waving a Mexican flag and chanting in Spanish = different story.

If this bill passes and they continue to do that I'd love to see them met by a hundred cops and get shaken down for ID.  Be nice to see it against a background of about 20 buses, fueled and ready to return them to their beloved homeland.

We all know the immigration thing is a sensative subject... is it due to the fact that no one wants to "offend" anyone?? also when they say "path so citizenship to an illegal alien, i wonder why do they want to reward reward someone who has already broken the law?? can someone please explain it to me??

we already have a path to citizenship. It's not complicated. Takes a little bit of work and a little bit of time. Millions have used it already  The problem is that nobody uses it because they don't have to.   That is changing here in Arizona.

Whats more American than putting in a little bit of time and effort to get a reward?  IF a person doesn't want to do the VERY  LITTLE amount of work necessary to come here legally then they don't deserve to grace their eyes on our wonderful country much less live and work here.

I stopped to grab a sandwich at 30th and Thomas.  A whole bunch of them were on the sidewalk (heading east), they appeared to be high school students.  They had an escort from Phoenix PD, I counted 3 motorcycle officers and 4 officers in Tahoes.  Traffic was backed up behind, as the cops were matching the speed of the walking protesters.  What a waste of officer time.

all in all, from a native Texan, I gotta say "Thanks to AZ" for having the cajones to step up &
excersise states rights against the progressives in Washington, espically after that butch you sent
to "protect" us (what Homeland Security);

I know Janet wasn't the fault of anyone on this board, but ya'll still made it back in spades;
now if Rick Perry would grow a set & do the same, Oblama would really have his nuts in a vise

Protesters (keeping in mind the 70%+ support the bill):

- High school kids looking for any reason in the world to ditch class

- Latinos that have a vested interest in killing the bill as they harbor illegal aliens

.... all the while, you and I are at work , paying taxes so that they get free health-care, social services and pay no SSN

And FUCK the  uber bias liberal-media covering this story

i really wonder how nappy was in office as long as she was.  that one i could never figure out.  must have been people being lazy and not voting and then the CA element voting for her.

anyways, AZ is slowly becoming AZ again - got non-permit CCW done just a few days ago too.  been a good couple weeks for AZ.

Looks like it may be time to renew my interest in the AZ Rangers. Might even join the Sheriff's Posse if asked. Since Governer Brewer had the cajones to sign this, I got the cajones to join up.
