Newby to PR.   Round count and minimum equipment?   If there is a link to general info that would be great.
Thanks

What you need is a good semi-auto magizene feed rifle IE (AR-15, FAL, M-14, G-3, FNC, AUG, L-85, Mini-14, Ak-47, Ak-74 Galil, or AR-70) 6-8 fully loaded rifle magizens, a handgun of any caliber and 2-3 mags fully loaded. A knife (bowie, combat, bayonet) for this month. A ALICE, MOLLE, or LBE gear to carry your equipment and a good attitude and something to snack on.

Its fun and I hope to see ya there!

I agree with the first part, but many do just fine without the load bearing gear.  I don't usually have anything but my rifle case, and a pistol belt with a mag pouch.  Cargo pants work decent for carrying gear and mags.  I do want to ge a vest and some gear, but I can wait.

The point is, don't let a lack of tactical gear prevent you from coming out.  All you NEED is a rifle, Pistol, a few mags for each, ammo for each, and the baddest knife you own.

Oh, a raincoat might be a good idea too.

ETA:  You also will NEED a case for the rifle.  Doesn't matter what kind as long as it fully encloses it.  Also, you will need a holster or case for the pistol too.

I did PR just fine with only 4 rifle mags and no tactical gear whatsoever.

Sometimes you have to reload between stages, but you dont really need all that much stuff.  A rifle, a pistol, ammo for both, Cases (or holster for the pistol) for both and you should be fine.  Might want to bring something to drink/eat and maybe a set of knee pads.

AR magazines fit just fine in a pair of jeans.....
