I know you used to have a surefire P111 series or something similar to it on your Glock 17, and it had the devgru switch.

I have the opportunity to trade for one, and although I was planning on getting another TLR 1 and permanently putting it on the Glock, I was wondering how you liked the surefire with that switch.

I am very worried about accidental activation of the light, since I have a pretty damn tight grip.

The one I would be trading for is the P111C I believe.  Also, how did you like the mounting mechanism?  It seems pretty pointless to have a light like that attach to a seperate mount on a gun that already has a rail....

Also, can the P111C for the Glock have the devgru switch changed out to work with other guns?

Hey hey hey!

Honestly I found it somewhat difficult to make the light activate by accident.  I liked it a lot as it helped w/ follow up shots w/ all the weight on the front end.

I really didn't like the mounting mechanism as like you, I found it stupid to have to use an extra mount to mount the damn light.  That was the real flaw I found in the design.

As far as switching the pressure switch out for other pistols, I am not sure about that one and you should probably direct that question to Surefire.

Overall it was a good light for what I paid (IIRC $75 or so for it).

Hope that helps ya a bit.

BTW I had the P111D version which only allowed for temporary on by activation of the pressure switch and had a safety mechanism which could disengage the light from being turned on by accident.
