I have been asked by a friend of mine to help her find a good plastic surgeon for a breast enlargement / lift. She's recently lost a fair amount of weight and feels self conscious. Any recommendations? Cost is of course an issue but quality is more important.

I would talk her out of it if you care about her. This is elective surgery and people die every day from it. This is NOT a lifetime fix. This is an on going process that WILL have to be repeated EVERY 5-8 years for LIFE otherwise you go back to the same problems, if not worse, you had in the first place.
Just my 2 cent. Vanity kills. |

It's fair and good advice regarding the risks, but use the facts, not BS. Breast enhancement surgeries do not need to be repeated, the results hold up well over decades. I have a relative who had implants done in the early seventies and over forty years later, they seem to be holding up (pun intended) just fine. |

I'd like to see numbers on that from Western procedures. Sounds like you're spouting crap to me. Quoted: I would talk her out of it if you care about her. Location? My wife's surgeon is in Clear Lake. Mid-range for boob job (about $6K) but top notch surgeon! She does wonderful work San Antonio, but willing to travel for quality / price. In San Antonio, schedule an appointment with Dr. Robert Young, I've been fondling his work for over 8 years now. |
