| I live in Seattle, and travel to Portland several times a month on business. I own registered full autos in another state, and I'm thinking about transferring a few of them to Portland for an occassional trip to the range. I'm looking for any indoor ranges within easy driving distance from downtown Portland that allow suppressed/full-auto use (pistol caliber would be ok), as well as any outside ranges (formal or informal), were I could go to let off some steam with my .223's and .308's. I'm also open to suggestions on where to store a few NFA items (HK sear pack, M16 lower, etc). I'm thinking about a large safe-deposit box at a downtown bank, but any other ideas would be great. Thanks guys.hippie.gif |
Hmm how bout sending that lower to my house?

Sorry, but I don't there are any Class III friendly ranges in the Portland area. I am a member at the Tri-County Gun Club which does not allow full auto. I don't know for sure about Douglas Ridge. The closest *range* is the Albany Rifle and Pistol Club which fully supports full-auto but this range is located about 70 miles south of Portland. You can head out in the woods and blast away to your heart's content. That would probably be your best option. Sixty minutes or so, going east or west, you can get away from all of these liberal pukes in the Portland area. My $0.02 worth, Spambo |

PSTC in Clackamas (near the mall) used to allow full auto. I'm not sure if they do now or not. It's a nice indoor range. The Place to Shoot allows full auto by appointment. I've been there once and someone was blasting away with something. They're right off the I-5, so that might be ideal for you. I hope this helps. |
