Just wanted to alert everyone about a possible scam from someone on this website. I posted a WTB ad in the equipment exchange under ar related. I recently received this email from a [email protected]

I recently ordered items from him and they arrived in great condition as described. --------------------------------------------------------- Email Generated From: AR15.Com I then sent an email to Chad and received this emial: Hi Frank, Yes i have a bell & Carlson thumb hole stock for an AR 15 for sale. I do not have images but condition is good and excellent.I am asking a $300USD and price includes shipping. I will be shipping via USPS and will take payment via Western Union or Money gram. Whats your shipping address? Thanks Chad Kost Coralville, Iowa 52241 I found the whole email itself to be odd, the fact that he had no pictures and especially the fact that he requested payment by Money Gram and Western Union. Maybe I'm being paranoid, but it just seem to fishy to me. If someone has dealt with either person in the past and this email is on the up and up, I will apologize. For now, here is the last email I sent to him and I have yet to get a response. Chad, Can I ask why you are asking $300.00 for a used stock that cost less then half that price brand new from Bell & Carlson. I am well aware that Bell & Carlson no longer makes this stock and the primary reason is due to it's flaws, which I am sure you are well aware of. Although I appreciate your response, I don't appreciate the price gouging. Why Western union or Money gram, most people use Paypal or money order? The last time I heard of someone asking to be paid by Western Union or money gram, it was a scam. Let's make a deal, if this is not a scam, give me your phone number and complete address and when I'm in Iowa this fall for my usual Whitetail hunt, me and a bunch of my hunting buddies will stop by and take a look at the stock. Let me know if that sounds good. |

got an email from armatcher referring me to this guy. I've reported armatcher as a potential scammer.
