Well I just noticed I am at post #223. Did not want to waste it. Here is my favorite M4 and for those asking about my icon, here it is. Steve

The above picture was taken in July 2003 after a near miss on Saddam. I am sitting on $9 Million. Wish I had it! We did eventually get him in December of that year. The M4 is set up with an M68 Aimpoint, Knights rail and grip with a first pattern four-position Colt stock. The surefire light was one I carried in Afghanistan in '02 and Kosovo  in '99 and it operated with a touch pad on the grip. I faced some pretty deadly fights using the rifle in this configuration and it served me well.

I later replaced the surefire with an M6 Streamlight shortly after and acquired a TA31 ACOG as we began to get better supplied by late summer of that first year. The PAC4 I had was replaced by the PEQ-2. This was the final configuration I had before saying goodbye to the rifle in 2005. Steve

Well, that general is now 4-Star general Ray Odierno, commander and victor of Iraq for the last 3 years. When others nearly let the wheels come off the cart, he put them back on.

As to my latrine pointing duties, you never know when you might need a good M4 in a tight squeeze. Steve
