The first 2 looks nice, don't care for the skull version.

Where did you see that?   I'd probably be in if the cost is reasonable.

The posts in that thread show the reason entrepeneurs should simply risk their money and put the product on the market.  Asking for a consensus leads to a dead end.  I suppose it is market research if applied smartly; the decision should not be made on whether there is a majority of "yes" votes, but well tempered by the comments in the thread.

The images above are art proposed by someone other than Garryowen, and the side with the AR does not reflect his original proposal.  The skull art is juvenile and a good way to insure the seller will end up with a loss, the difference in the spot price and the production price.

The posters that want a coin at just a fraction above spot price are unrealistic and probably have no idea that production cost has to be included.  I would like to know the break even just to have the dies made.

No way am I going to buy a skull one.  That is just my opinion on that though.  I also wouldn't be a fan of putting a logo of a brand on it (spikes).

That being said, I would like to see one and would be interested in purchasing one.

The price of the dies and other production costs have got to be intense though.

I don't think the skull one was ever in the running really... I wasn't real big on the skull on either...    Brand thing to me is no big deal as long as its one i like.. :) Like Larue...

I bought a bunch of Silver Coca-Cola ""Art Bars" for less than 10.00 each and most of them are selling upwards of 75.00 now...

Honestly, I don't think it will happen at all, but we'll see...

I might purchase one as a collectible simply for the Arfcom factor, knowing full well that as an investment in silver it will likely be an incredibly poor value.

Right now maybe, depends on when you got in...  You gotta know how to ride the cycles...

Yeah, I wouldn't mind buying a 'brand coin' if that's what it is.  I don't have a problem with either larue or spikes, but I'm not interested in a silver coin for them.  I am interested in a ar15 and/or ar15.com coin.

I also agree that it wouldn't be an investment as it wouldn't be worth much (if anything) other than what the silver in it is worth.  I would, however, think it's a cool keepsake.

I don't think most people are really looking at it as in investment, but it seems everyone keeps wanting to come back to that...

I think people just aren't sure what value they would place on this
little trinket or how much they would be willing to pay for it, since
its Silver, its easy to gravitate to over and say, Hmm. Whats the current POS then look at how much this is going for over that...  Just seems to
work that way...

If people were really looking at this as a possible investment vehicle,
they would be like, Uhh If Silver does X, I might be in for a roll (20)
or I'll take 300 OZ worth....

Everyone I've seen post is like I might be in for one or two.......

Whatever everyone's' reason is for getting in on this is fine with me, I just hope this makes it off the ground.
