The factory rims in my 2001 Dodge Ram 2500 are chromed steel. They are in excellent shape other than some small scratches/scrapes and superficial rust. I was thinking of having them powder coated black. Anyone have any personal experiences with any powder coaters that aren't too awfully far away from me? I live near Dallas/Acworth. Thanks

You might want to talk to Jason Nixon at our shop about it.
We do NOT offer powder coatings as a services and if Jason helped you out it would be a private matter between you too guys, but... We've done some powder coatings on wheels. The oven at our shop was custom built. It is digitally controlled and keeps a very exact temperature. It gets hot enough to powder coat. The two sets of wheels the guys did came out awesome. I bet you could get Jason to do something on the side for a fair price as a "weekend" project. Just a thought in case you can't find someone close to you. Mark |

There is a powder coating company in Lithia Springs that my old company used for years to redo our machinery. Lithia Powder Coating 770-948-6891 They also have a shop on Fulton Industrial. They have two ovens at the Lithia Springs location as well as a huge sandblasting booth. I've had them do dune buggy frames, machinery parts, armored vehicle parts, wheels, bumpers, etc. etc. Great folks with great service! |

Quoted: What they said. From I-20 west, get off on Lee road, go north. They will be about 1/8 mile on left.
