Anyone popping prairie dogs?

Sounds like a lot of fun, I’d like to give it a try, but don’t really know how to get started. The
equipment ain’t a problem. Wondering how to find/contact landowners who welcome shooters to get
rid of their problem.

Have the liberals in Santa Fe made them a protected species yet?

Last time I was in Santa Fe I remember seeing a prarie dog town in the middle of the city. They were running through traffic dodging cars. If you have a can on your rifle maybe you could try there.

Where are you at GAU5? I know a few places you could go here in Northern New Mexico on public land.

I'm most often in central NM, Belen, Los Lunas.

How far north? Got any experience popping dogs? I don't.

Have you shot there before?

I know a couple of places to bag a few prairie dogs. Because the dogtowns are not really large, I usually just blast a few at a time. These dogs are on the National Forest. let me know if you want to go get some.
