Thanks all. We just got home and I am glad we picked her up. She didn't want to come home ,she wanted to finish her mission. She is one hell of a tough beauty queen cheerleader. We pulled up and barely recognised her, on crutches, knee wrapped, big swollen black eye with Hum bond (superglue) and crazy bruising all around her neck. What pisses me off is that I talked to the emergency room and they completely failed to provide me with all the info of her diagnosis. They didn't say anything about a concussion, yea shes got one. They x-rayed her knee and nothing was broken so they just sent her out the door, didn't seem to think that the swelling, bruising or the inability to put any weight on it was anything to be concerned with. Needless to say we have a full round of doctors visits tomorrow.
As for the driver, Terry, they were able to save his leg. It took them over an hour to cut him from the van, they thought they were going to amputate his leg to get him out of the vehicle. All this while his two teen daughters watched. Both of the Taphouses have a very long road to recovery but are going to be okay. They still need the prayers coming. If you ever find yourself in Williamsburg, Ky stay off Hwy 92. I had to pull over and let 3 big rigs pass cause they were haulin ass and taking up both lanes. WTF A little tale about the Truck Driver who caused this. Right after the crash three adults ran to the van and 1 adult ran to the semi, The f-in driver was on the phone with his wife, didn't bother calling 911. The adult took the phone from the truck driver and hung up on the wife and called 911. The only 2 emergency phones that the church group had were in Terry and Lois' pockets. Again thanks to all. |
