Does anyone have a form or any idea what I should type up for the sale of a rifle to another Illinois resident? I know I should include the serial number, the date, name and address as well as the FOID information. Amy I missing anything else to include?

Thanks, All the necessary info is listed on the back of your FOID. Just draw up your own bill of sale and make sure you include all the points listed above. Maybe have the buyer sign the bill of sale too. |
| When I first moved here from IN I owned a XD45, I didnt have a foid so I sold it to my fiance and she did all the paperwork. I kept the bill of sale on the pc and used it when I sold other firearms. She is a para legal so I know it is completly legal I will see if I have a copy of it if you are interested. |

I developed this bill of sale and use it now when selling a firearm to an individual. I think it has all of the bases covered.
Bill of Sale On June XX, 2009, I, Your Name, FOID # XXXXXXXX, sold one Glock 19 pistol, serial # XXXXXX, with black tenifer finish, to Buyer's Name, FOID # ________________, for the sum of $XXX.00 U.S.C. Three 15 round magazines and a trigger lock were included with the pistol. Both the buyer and seller held a valid Illinois FOID card at the time of the transaction and all regulations governing the transfer of a firearm were complied with in accordance with the Illinois Compiled Statutes. Seller: _______________________________________ Date: __________ (Signature) Buyer: _______________________________________ Date: __________ (Signature) |
