In an effort to raise membership and awareness, Charles Cotton, an NRA board member From Texas has launcehd Project One Million.
I signed up six people last week and will sign up at least three this week. When I sign someone up, I ask them to find someone else to join and so on. My personal goal is to sign at least one person per week for the next year. If we are to stand firm against the Anti's, we must have numbers. One million members in Texas alone would send a strong message to the gun grabbers in Washington. So, if you are not a member, please  join. If you are a member, you probably know someone who needs to be a member. Ask them. Talk to friends and family about the importance of preserving our heritage, and remember to sign up spouses and children. NRA memberships make great Christmas and birthday gifts as well.
Let's stand united in the fight to seperate us from our guns, because divided we will surely fall...

This is definately a noble effort!

It's going to take a lot of participation from EVERYONE to pull off those numbers.

I'm in.

We have to stand for our rights while we still have them. They are easier to protect than to regain.

Why not join the GOA or organizations that protect ALL our 2nd amendment freedoms? I'd rather not pay for the duck hunters rights to keep their Benelli's....

and watch it absolutely not make a difference. Who wants to bet they'll bring up a shit-ton of cash and then make off with it like they did in 1986?

The NRA is the only voice we have, LIKE IT OR NOT.  You can make excuses or you can get off your ass and join, then sign up everybody you can.

In true ARFCOM style, join both...

Whether you want to believe it or not, the NRA is the 900 pound gorilla. GOA, well, umm, not so much...

Sitting on the sidelines and bitching about 1986 get us nowhere in 2008/2009, kinda like not voting and whining about politics...change comes from within...

Look at the lawsuits, look at the legislative action, this ain't an organization that's standing still, look in the magazines, theres a lot of non-fudd promotion, hell, there's tactical stuff on nearly every page so the "ducks and deer" argument doesn't fly either...

We must present a United front, unless we want to end up like the UK or Australia.

What has the NRA done to preserve/restore our rights? Why haven't they fought to overturn the NFA? or the GCA? I'll invest my money in more ammo for now.

Following that logic(or lack thereof) shouldn't we all support Obama bin laden and just stop bitching about 94? Or 34. Or 68. or 86. or 89?

And a leopard never changes it's spots....they're a business when you get down to it. The more people they can trick into sinking money into their organization the better. If that means pictures of mall ninja BS on every page then so be it.

Yes, joining the wolf in sheep's clothing would, in fact, be suicide.

Completely ignorat.

I'm sick of proving to people what the NRA has done.  Go do your own homework and report back the evidence that you've found on what the NRA has done to prevent people from owning guns.

It's $35 fucking bucks!  Shit That's less than 1 day at the range.

If the NRA had 10 million members I guaran damn tee you that anti-gun shit would stop.

Oh well, when were fucked in 2 years at least yo didn't give your $35 fucking dollars to that "duck hunting club".

FUCK FUCK FUCK!!!

When the NRA says "Yeah, SOME DAY we'd like to repeal the machine gun manufacture ban" THEN I'll join.

The NRA is the biggest gun control outfit there is.  Hell, Obama causes more people to arm themselves for their own protection than the NRA does!

when the NRA begins to do what it is suppose to do and stops capitulating to the gun grabbers i will be a member again.  they lost my membership the day the AWB went into affect because they helped sponsor it.

when it comes to nut cutting time the NRA will sell out the AR15 crowd in order to save the hunters.  later on when it comes time they NRA will sell out auto loading shotgun hunters to save the over and under hunters.

the NRA is a shadow of it superposed self and deserves to be replaced by a real gun organization that will fight to return ALL of our constitutional rights.

We know that any organizations have their own shortcoming, and NRA is no exception.  I'm absolutely sure that Brady Gun Control has its own detractors as this group is not done enough against gunowners.
This is not to defend NRA, and let's try to be fair, shall we?  It's very easy from the outside looking in and criticize why NRA or GOA or any pro-gun groups to push forward and repeal ALL anti-gun laws, anti 2nd Amendment legislation. It's just too damn difficult.
All you guys know whom we have to deal with:  Anti-gun groups, libtards in the masses, libtards from the media, from Hollywood, RINO, and last of all...libtards in Congress.  So trying to repeal anti-gun laws is not a  walk in the park.., either now, 5 yrs ago, 10 yrs ago,.....
Now, I'm sure some of you guys think that GOA will do better job than NRA if GOA has enough backings and resources like NRA.  OK, Great.  Then GOA has my support (actually I support ALL pro-gun groups)!!!!  But in the mean time, NRA is one of the biggest hurdles––if not, the biggest hurdle––that anti-gun groups and libtards have to deal with.  Without NRA, I seriously don't think that we sit here and argue/criticize NRA in this forum.  Hell, I don't even think this website has existed.

So let's support ALL pro-gun organizations!!!!  OK, guys.

Actually you can join the NRA for just $10 bucks, not excuse to not join, I am not big gung ho member just because i don't follow any political bull shit and i don't know if they do anything or not, but i know for $10 it's worth it just in case they do.
