The ORIGINAL THREAD was archived so I'm starting this one up for some more cut-up shotgun inspiration.

Finally got around to doing some Krylon (in this case, Rust-Oleum) camo.

Base coat is Satin Nutmeg.

I used a laundry bag type material to make a snakeskin pattern with Earth Brown, Black, and a little OD green Krylon.

I didn't like how defined the pattern turned out, so I threw some pinestraw on it and went back over it with some OD and Black.

I thought that was a little dark, so I just hit it with some more Satin Nutmeg and Army Green.

Turned out pretty well.

I remember that thread. I bought a 12g to do that exact same thing. Then I looked the gun so much I never chopped it.

Still wish I could find a single shot 22 and 410 to match them.

Looks good. Are you going to put any protective cover on it?

You are going to take it shooting, prop it up against a tree and lose it.

Probably not.  I don't feel like there's a reason to considering I could repaint the whole thing in 10 minutes.   It'll probably live under my truck seat most of the time anyway.

I remember being in a gun shop once (cant remember which, mostly hunting type rifles though) and one of the clerks was telling me that I wouldn't believe how many people come in and buy black guns because they lost their camo'd guns out in the field

I knew a guy that lost his Mossy Oak camo Stihl chainsaw in the woods. Set it down and never found it again.

That just sounds funny.  Talking about redneck problems!  Read it out loud to my coworker and she giggled too.

Nice looking scatter gun. I've always wanted to chop down an over under for some reason, just don't see as many not sure if their's a reason for it or not. I know a lot of over unders are pricey.

An over under would be cool.  Check this out:

Also, this double barrel is extremely sweet.  KG Gun-Kote OD grey and bedliner on the wood.

Wait you're absolutely right, what was I thinking. I'll need both...

All good looking firearms, maybe my precision project needs to be delayed at least a few weeks to play with a shotty.
