Yes I know I could just call and ask, at the same time, not sure if they'd know what I'm talking about.
If I have the stamps (which I do), can I legally shoot my SBRs and attach suppressors at QSC?  http://www.quanticoshootingclub.com/rules.php
I know it says no, but it also says no firearms for that case.

Good question. I'll have to do some research to get the definitive answer. Guys have brought their suppressors to the range and have not been challenged for paperwork. I know one shooter in particular who seems to always shoot his bolt action suppressed. I can't recall seeing an SBR, and I know I've never seen an MG at the range. That would call attention to itself ASAP.

Are you a member, or considering it?

I'm a member.  Looking at being able to shoot my MP5K clone, even when a suppressor is attached, it's still under 12" so can't try and get around it that way.
But it's good to know that suppressors are good to go.

Question in regards to the club. Do you have to be a member to shoot here? Is this still their hours of operation? Thursday 0900 - 1400
Saturdays 0900 - 1500, Sundays 0900 - 1500

Thanks!

Yes, you must be a member.  Its about $100 per year, depending on your rank and status.  It is definitely worth it.

Hours vary depending on the weekend - ranges are only open when there are volunteer range safety officers willing to open them.  Some weekends the 300 yard rifle range (Range 1) might be open from 0900-1500, some weekends from 0900-1300, and some weekends not at all.  Sometimes they are open on Saturdays, sometimes on Sundays, sometimes both.  There is really no way to know other than by checking the calendar on their website.

But even if the range you want to use is only open once a month, its still worth it.  You won't find anything nearly as good as it within a reasonable distance.

I RSO for the club, almost exclusively on Range 1. I should know the answer to the suppressor question better than I do, so I'll ask the RSO Admin and get back to this thread. I do know of a serious shooter who shoots suppressed .308 every time he comes.

The 0900-1300 schedule is usually for the cold season when the sun will be down sooner. The warm months should be 0900-1500. I can only get there about 8 times a year, and I end up working about 6 of them. I need to shoot more.

I will say it sure beats the 200 yd. (max) private range I keep as a standby. My rifle can barely stretch its legs at 200 yards.

Thanks for reminding me. A club officer responded that it's always been his understanding that suppressors are legal to shoot there. Shooters are advised to have their paperwork (tax stamps) with them, as the club has checked paperwork on Range 4, for example. Same for SBR's. No machine guns are allowed on the WTBn ranges that the club has access to.

Now personally, I'd like to see a definitive recitation of policy, if there is a policy. But the club officer has been doing this a long time and he's there almost weekly. So, there you have it.
