Ok, so heres the deal. I live in Florida, this December I will be going to Wisconsin to see the Packers at Lambeau Field vs the Vikings. BUT, I will be flying to North Carolina and drive up there with a buddy who will be up there at the time.

I also have a couple buddies in Wisconsin that own some guns, so I'd like to bring my m4 with me to shoot with them while I'm up there.

So I have heard that Illinois doesnt allow ANY firearms to be transported through the state. Is this true? If so how will I get my m4 to Wisconsin? I wouldn't really want to drive ALL the way around through Kentucky to Missouri to Iowa.

What should I do? We dont want to fly directly there for a couple reasons.

#1 being we dont want to have to rent a car etc

#2 is once the game is over, we'd like to be able to drive back to NC where I can visit for a few days

Any suggestions are welcome, and I hope Favre kicks ass his last year

Here's what you do:

1. Make sure rifle is unloaded.

2. Put it in case.

3. Put case in car.

4. Drive car to Wisconsin, through Illinois.

It's perfectly legal to transport through.  Have fun here in Wisconsin and don't forget to have some brats.

Cool, I really appreciate the info

If theres any shoots around that time let me know, I'll be glad to attend if us Floridians are welcome

This wont be my first visit to Green Bay. I've been a Packer fan ever since I was a little kid and my parents took me up there when I was about 10.

I still remember that wing place kinda by Lambeau, I forget the name of it but it was damn good. Anyone know what Im talking about?

Oh and you better warn the brat man ahead of time
