| What does Air Force ROTC do for summer camp...? |
Yeah that's the Navy. Why do you think that Rune75 likes working in the shipyard? ![]() |

I think they do something similar to the Army, but theirs involves more Drill and Ceremony, an M9 qual (and I think only a fam-fire with an M16), and probably less infantry-like patrolling. It's called "Field Training" (as opposed to the Army's "Advanced Camp"). I believe it's between their sophomore and junior years. I think their cadre is ungodly strict (like DS/DI kind of thing), since it's the only time they'll be anything like it. I know for their sophomore-year prep the cadre is like that. It's probably also the only time they do PT, b/c I know AFROTC did PT for the train-up, but not really other than that. Hopefully, my information is fairly accurate. I know it's a bit colored, since I'm in the Army and I can't help but make fun of the AF, but it should be mostly good. ETA: From www.afrotc.com/collegelife/courses/fieldTraining.php
