Looking into picking up an AR Pistol, and wanted some clarification.   Would this be considered a SBR and require an additional $200 dollar stamp?   Where is the line drawn between a "Pistol" and a "SBR" requiring a stamp?

Thanks,
Tim

What about the distinction between having a pistol buffer tube and having a a buffer tube with no stock? That's important right?

It's only important if you would like to maintain your rectums current diameter for the forseable future

AFG is ok.  VFG is no-go.

VFG is okay according to BATFE IF the OAL is 26 inches or greater. The letter for this is tacked in the AR pistol forum.

It's also supposed to be okay to use a carbine buffer tube, but I think that's a bad idea unless you have no other carbine stock parts or you use heat shrink wrap or something to make it so that a carbune stock cannot be easily attatched.
