Is it true that if a person were to purchase a book online about exotic 10/22 rifles for STRICTLY educational purposes, are those sales tracked in any way?  Or, is this another "urban legend?"

Of all firearm paraphernalia to track...a book about 10/22's??? Nah...dont think so.

I would say urban legend.  If the govt has time for that then I have no idea wtf they are doing with foreign policy.

That was what I said too when I told my friend that I was thinking about buying it.  Sometimes the tin-foil hat is a little too tight.

I had my "Ruger 10/22 Exotic Weapons Systems" book taken away by the Nazi Vice Principal in high school.  Bastid!

Oh, and all my "Full Auto Uzi" and "Homegrown Suppressors" books burned up in the house fire a few years back.

I seem to have no good luck.

WOW!  You have had some seriously bad luck!  I wish I could have gotten a look at your 10/22 book before it was confiscated.

IIRC it was by Duncan Long , nope it was someone else, with a green cover.  Do a net search for used book sellers.  I've found countless good books that sell for rediculously low prices as used items.
