I have A Gas tube with bayonet lug for an ak 47. what i was wondering is if there is a way you can match the color of the rifle this is a used part that needs refinishing. and if it can be would you be interested in doing it?

Yes the difinitive way would be to Duracoat the entire rifle. However the part can be stripped and re-parkerized. This will get it to match reasonably well. But may not be a perfect match, due to several reasons. Mainly being the type of perkerizing done on your rifle and its age since that was done. Age, wear, and cleaning solvents play a big part in how the color turns out over the rifles life. Now throw in a freshly parked part and it may look a little odd. Of course you could re-park the entire rifle as well. Yes I am willing to do the work on which ever route you want to take. |
