Ok so the form 4 is new to me. What am i looking at to complete one of these and get is signed? I live in Outagamie county. I'm thinking about trying to get this done but i am wondering how easy it is and what are my chances of getting it signed. Any info would help.

THanks

The dealer I bought my subgun from was very insistent that he help me fill out the form, so there were no mistakes.

Before you even put money down on a full-auto, though, make sure that your sheriff will sign the Form 4. If he won't, you're looking at more hassle.

no you're not. If you go the trust route...there's less hassle. Less bull crap and looks like a quicker turn around.

I'd see if you can get a sign off first, or make sure you can set up a LLC/trust.  Then go shopping.

As much as I'd like to agree with the guys on this I can't right off the bat.
I prefer the trust or LLC route. I've done it both the CLEO route and the LLC route and the LLC route is a whole lot nicer route to go IMO. There is some front end work there with registering the trust, or LLC, and the LLC has some yerly cost to it($25) IIRC. The advantages to them are no fingerprint cards or pictures have to be submited and no CLEO sign off has to be gotten. The transfer times are also faster because of the lack of FBI background check. Current times on corp/trust transfers are in the 3-4 week range. The other thing is you can add a person to an LLC at a later time as being authorised to use/posses those NFA weapons. I believe that you can do the same thing with a trust, but someone that has a trust for NFA stuff would have to verify that.

Getting the LLC costs $130 for the first year (if you do it online, otherwise $170). I don't recall what is the renewal amount.

I just set one up for a business I'm starting up (sorry, not gun related :) )
