Can someone explain ISO 9000 to me in very plain language? Focusing on why I should fill out paper work for a customer we service. |

Politics and postureing... Shows that your comany has documented the shit out of everything they do, made it policy and enfoces that it run that way... Depends on how much the customer is worth... What do you or your company do??? I would see this with Accounting, manufacturing etc... |

Quoted:
We just provide cleaning service to them. Tell the customer that every process you use is documented. Everyone swings a mop or pushes a broom the same as everyone else. They use a vacuum to pick up the dirt instead of a dust pan to make sure all the dirt is picked up. Everyone uses the same window cleaner, it is ______, and it is wiped off with ______ towels. The idea is that you have a "process" for every task, everyone follows the process, and the process is followed every time the task is executed. There's more, but that is the crux of the problem. I would be interested to know if they expect you to become certified. The next hurdle will be ISO 14000 compliance. Look it up, you'll like this one! |

No mention of us needing to be certified as of yet. |
