So I have a friend who is going to a corporate meeting with some of the heads of ATK. You know, the people who own the CCi and Speer and many other firearms oriented manufacturing lines. He would like to know what questions the current consumer is interested in hearing an answer for. My question is about primers, quality and their availability in the near term. What would yours be? I will post the answers if and when I recieve them. |

I will post the answers if and when I recieve them. Why are there layoffs at ATK and Olin when ammo sales are at a record high (even though you can't seem to find it anywhere)? Why no increase in production? Is it because production lines are filled so extra variable capital isn't useful? I understand no one wants to buy machinery, but I read a thread in MNHTF where a guy laid off from ATK said half the machinery wasn't even being used. Jay |
| It could be that that line was old and not producing quality ammo. Or they were switching it over to something else. Or they had parts failures and were waiting for new stuff to come in. If these were the case though I think the guy would have known about it though, or maybe that guy was low man on totem pole and was not told anything. |

I think it was the rimfire plant that laid people off.
Article here Doesnt make any sense to me. While they might have been gaining ground they are back to being backed up again |
