People are learning.

Internet has killed the bobble head and jerky shows.

I think the crowds (both buyers and sellers) were split between Marietta and lawrenceville this weekend.

But I agree, Marietta was weak sauce.

While i will agree that the amount of, guns and gear, was lighter than normal, what would be more desirable.?

Specifically, what would everyone like to see?

I would really like to see more firearms dealers, competition is a great thing.

On the flip side, if the attendance was dropping, the promoters would be closing up shop in these locations.

Currently there three promoters the Atlanta area, RK and Eastman, gunners bringing up the rear.

From my prospective, the shows have been average to above average, however i only see what comes by Cherokee's tables.

I know guys on here aren't fans of the Eastman shows (I actually am not a fan either) but they usually always produce at the Gwinnett show.  I don't know if it's the location but dealers of all kinds (firearms and jerky alike) always show up for the Gwinnett show.  I got a great deal on a Night Force scope, Don Hume leather for my HK P30 (finally) and an AR mat for cleaning my guns (I've been wanting one for a while).  I capped myself by only taking cash in and spent my limit but at the back I found a dealer with online-like ammo prices.  They said they will be at Jonesboro the weekend of March 3rd so I will be seeing them then as they had great deals on 5.56 and .223 stuff.  No good deals on 6.8 but I'm not surprised.  I don't think there is much love in the Atlanta area yet.

As someone else said, I think the Eastman show in Gwinnett was largely to blame for the slower RK show.  I stopped by the Eastman show on Sat to scope it out and i have never seen it busier. It is hard to compete with the North Atlanta Trade Center show.  That being said, we had better prices at the RK show that I saw at Eastmans.

I'd like to see less of all the other crap (aforementioned jerky included) that has latched onto the gun shows, and more guns, ammo and accessories priced as if there were some healthy competition. That is all.
