Hi All,

New to the forum. Just made my first AR-15 purchase and now need some advice on a place to shoot it.  I'm in Essex County and have been considering Old Bridge Rifle and Pistol Club.  They have a 100yd outdoor range and a 24 hour card access indoor range.  There is a 12 hour per year work requirement.  Any recommendations or other information is much appreciated.

Thanks

Welcome!

Try Fort Dix, and come to the pumpkin miniblast this Sunday (which, incidentially, is at Fort Dix!)

Thank you for the reply.  I've been considering coming to Ft. Dix too, but I'm looking for a place within a reasonable distance (I'm in Essex) to shoot regularly.  I was wondering if anyone here is a member at Old Bridge RPC.  I usually do my pistol shooting at the Bullethole, Ray's or ShoreShot, but I'm getting kind of bored just putting holes in paper!!!

BTW, is Fort Dix open to the public or does one have to be a member?

Thanks,
Marc

IIRC, it's $50/year to become a member and $3/hour to shoot.  If you go with a member it's just $3/hour, but I'm not sure if you can go by yourself if you're not a member.

WWW.CJRPC.COM One of the nicest places to shoot in NJ. You have to join but if you do alot of shooting like I do it's well worth the money. Send me an email if you want to check the place out and spend a Sunday afternoon shooting.

I've been the website of this range (and I keep meaning to join Lugerman for a Sunday of shooting, but it hasn't seemed to work out yet), and I have to say I'm impressed with the facility listing.  It sure beats the heck out of my local range, although it's more expensive.  As with anything, I guess you get what you pay for .

Thank you all for the replies.  Keep em coming.

I'd like to hear from someone with information specific to Old Bridge RPC as that is really the most geographically convenient place for me, but if the place just isn't good then I'll have to expand my travel radius.
