| I have two family friends farms I can shoot on but neither let me stretch its legs beyond 300yds or so. Reade range hasn’t allowed .50 since some idiot put a round over the berm and hit a barn down range quite a few years ago. Anyone have a good range that permits .50? |

Mifflin County Sportsmans Association has 1000+ yards and I know they used to allow .50 BMG, but check their website to make sure. ETA: they still do, but you can't shoot the club's steel with them. https://mifflincosportsmens.com/gunrange.htm |

He did the free membership thing when he was in the NG and said that it was pretty painless to get the free military membership. I also know Fargo007 used to shoot there before he moved to FL. Up for a range day in late spring? That will give me time to join. I can bring up the new M82A1, the HK-21 some of the other long range oriented guns. Haven’t shot the Barrett yet, but anyone that comes along is free to try it out. I wonder if they’d allow M203 40mm chalk rounds….. Attached File |

They are damn near identical to mine. Also I have long considered getting a membership up there I am also about 2hrs but barely even get to my range 10 min away as often as I would like. |

Mine came with the house, I imagine they were spendy custom jobs at the time. I would certainly like to try my 7 SAUM out beyond 300yds. I am actually going to be in Muncy tomorrow morning, if timing works, I will probably stop by Euro Optic to grab some more bergers for my SAUM. |

Still doing some development. I had basically settled on a load with Alliant Reloader 23 which essentially disappeared into unobtainable fairy dust. So I am waiting on getting a good day to go out a d try some H1000 as a new effort. I love me some Barrett. I used to be AF EOD and they were one of our disruption tools. We made it a point to shoot at HB876s with ours when I was deployed to Iraq in 2004. We didn’t have to but shooting coffee can sized submunitions was just fun to do! |

The pound I bought will get me about 85 rnds loaded up after I shoot what’s already loaded. |

Had a great day for the most part. Had some issues with the HK21 that need ironed out. I forgot how offensive the 20” Barrett is to the sinuses. Like getting punched in the face every shot. 30 rnds was enough for me today. Stretched the mutt SPR out to 1000yds today with AAC 77gr and it was the star of the day. Probably had the most fun with it. The LE6920 SOCOM got its new ACOG zeroed and shot well out to 600yds with M193. Decided I don’t like the Colt 6960 I just picked up…it’s on the EE right now. Overall had a great time. Next trip I plan on going Saturday and camping overnight thru Sunday. Thanks for the lead on this place guys! Attached File Attached File Attached File |
| @Bravo_Six will do. I’ll be back quite a bit this summer. It’s an easy drive. Right now I’m planning on stacking some ammo deep and doing a fall shoot before the place gets inundated with hunters getting ready for the season. Maybe early to mid October. Planning on camping and doing a bunch of shooting over a weekend. The goal is to have at least 100rnds of .50BMG, 500 or so 77gr 5.56, 300 .308 match, and another 500-1000 of M193 for the AR’s. |

Thread resurrection for a quick question. Does Mifflin Co Sportsmans allow full auto? Didn’t see anything in the rules against it but haven’t had a chance to reach out to club leadership. I finished this around Christmas and my FFL07 was just approved. Need to send in my check for the SOT and then this will be talking a little faster. Attached File |

They said "yes", they allow FA. However, due to damage occurring on the long upper ranges, they just instituted a new rule that FA (or simulated FA) can only be used on the lower range. I forget exactly which lower range, but I think that it's a smaller one. Hopefully P91F sees this and can add some info. |
I did the same and was told by the treasurer (Paul) that he checked and they only want MG’s on the 50 yd shotgun range. I’m glad I honored that request because after a few belts someone came tearing up the hill, slow rolled past us, nodded, and left.  Failed To Load Title |
